Interview with filmmakers Barbara Bernstein and Elaine Velazquez, Joy Church from the Portland Kitchen, and author Eric Toensmeier

This coming Sunday, September 25th, the film Gaining Ground will be premiering at the Hollywood Theatre. I'll be talking with the filmmakers (and KBOO volunteers!) Barbara Bernstein and Elaine Velazquez about the film.

I'll also be talking with Joy Church of The Portland Kitchen who will be talking about the positive impact of teaching cooking skills to at risk youth.

The concept of carbon farming in order to mitigate climate change factors around the world is catching on. I'll be talking with Eric Toensmeier, author of The Carbon Farming Solution: A Global Toolkit of Perennial Crops and Regenerative Agricultural Practices for Climate Change Mitigation and Food Security about the practice of carbon farming and how it leads to a sustainable future.

As always, we'll chat with permaculturist Marisha Auerbach. She'll give us some tips for the garden including preparing for the rains, composting, and caring for fruit trees.

This is the fall pledge drive episode of the Food Show. Please consider becoming a member of KBOO by donating on the website or calling 877-500-5266.
