This week on Century of Lies: Human Rights and Decolonization.

The UN’s Commission on Narcotic Drugs and Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice held joint meetings December 4 and 5. Topics being discussed included the WHO Expert Committee’s upcoming review of the coca plant. We hear from the delegates from Bolivia, Colombia, and Mexico.

Plus, we hear more voices from the recent set of thematic discussions that were held by the UN’s Commission on Narcotic Drugs, including Ann Fordham, Executive Director of the International Drug Policy Consortium; Massimo Barra, Special Envoy on Health of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Co-Chair of the Rome Consensus humanitarian drug policy initiative; and Emily Christie, Senior Adviser, Human Rights and Law, at UNAIDS.
