Roscoe Mitchell, founding member of the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians) & Art Ensemble of Chicago. Saxophonist, composer, educator & still going strong at 80. This week on A Different Nature we feature music of Roscoe Mitchell, including a 2007 concert by the Transatlantic Art Ensemble, a 14-piece group put together by Mitchell and the British Saxophonist Evan Parker. Music at the confluence of composition and free jazz.
