Host Theresa Mitchell interviews environmental activist and author Bill McKibben about the state of the climate movement and what it takes to keep fossil fuels in the ground.

Bill McKibben’s 1989 groundbreaking book, The End of Nature, was the first of his 13 remarkable books about climate change. In 2007 he co-founded 350.org, which sparked the global action movement, and has since organized 20,000+ rallies/actions and launched the fast-growing fossil fuel divestment and keep it in the ground movements.

The Sky’s the Limit: An Evening with Bill McKibben

Join 350PDX on Sunday, October 23rd for a special talk by Bill McKibben, world-renowned environmental activist, author and founder of 350.org, at the First Unitarian Church (1211 SW Main St in downtown Portland). Tickets are $10 for students and $20 general admission; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Fun and terrific program begins at 7PM, with music and intro featuring the Road Sodas, and Portland NAACP president JoAnn Hardesty. After the program, stick around for a short reception and tabling fair.
