Tonight we feature music from artists who are part of the upcoming Portland Queer Music Festival. In the second half of the show, we welcome Samuel Thomas, the creative mastermind behind this local queer music festival.
Basic Rights Oregon (BRO) is the state’s chief advocacy, education and political organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Our first guest tonight is Peter, who is a Trans Justice organizer with Basic Rights Oregon. Also joining us in studio is Mah, one of the local performers from BRO's upcoming event Front and Center. This night of performance is happening on Thursday, July 31 at the Artists Repertory Theatre. Doors at 6PM and show time at 7PM. This facility is ADA accessible and gender neutral bathrooms are available. Tickets are $15-20 sliding scale, and no one turned away for lack of funds.
Next we welcome Samuel back to our studios. Samuel shares details about the upcoming Portland Queer Music Festival, happening Thursday July 31 through August 3. We hear about who is playing where & when, and we hear more music from artists in this year's festival. Thanks Samuel for playing DJ with us!
Tune in Tuesday at 6pm! Until then, stay proud and live out loud!
