Police Move on Occupy Portland
Following the arrests Saturday night at Jamieson square in northwest Portland, police moved in to Terry Schrunk plaza and arrested ten people at four o clock this morning. The campers had moved to Terry Schrunk plaza as an expansion of the two parks currently occupied, saying that there is not enough room in two square blocks for all of the economic refugees in Portland.
This morning’s arrests were carried out by Officers with the Department of Homeland SecurityOfficers, who surrounded the small group of campers in Terry Schrunk Plaza and dismantled their tents.
KBOO’s Jenka Soderberg spoke with one of the people arrested in this morning’s raid.
