Frank Lovejoy stars as Randy Stone, a reporter who covers the Night Beat. Today's story centers around a series of fires set in the warehouse district of Chicago. In the course of his investigation for his newspaper The Chicago Star, reporter Stone encounters an unemployed nightwatchman and his family who have a terrible secret. Which Stone suspects is behind the arsons. Also a wide range of entertaining musical styles and artists.
