Two members of Portland's Well-Read Black Girls book group share favorite books
Ray Owens and Wentemi Kante, members of Portland's Well-Read Black Girls Book Club, discuss the importance of the group beyond sharing good reads. Both women emphasize its importance as a safe and supportive space where Black women can fellowship with their sisters, a rarity in Portland. Of course, the book talk is important, too, and they share some favorites with us. Enjoy.
