Author Tom Atlee speaks with guest host Renee Beth Poindexter

Tom Atlee is the founder of the nonprofit Co-Intelligence Institute and author of four books - The Tao of Democracy, Empowering Public Wisdom, Participatory Sustainability, and Reflections on Evolutionary Activism.  A lifelong activist, in 1986 he had an epiphany about self-organized collective intelligence on a cross-country peace march with 400 other dedicated peace marchers.  It totally changed his perspective and life.

His resulting work - researching a phenomenon which he called co-intelligence - was grounded in the question of what intelligence would look like if we took wholeness, interconnectedness and co-creativity seriously.  It embraced collective intelligence, wisdom, universal intelligence, multiple ways of knowing, and the ability to resonate and work with the lives and situations around us - capacities that have individual, collective and systemic dimensions and implications.
