Bill Resnick talks with Brenna Bell, Policy Director and Attorney for the organization BARK, that for 20 years has dedicated itself to preserving forests, reforesting Oregon, cleaning its waters, and not just reducing greenhouse gas emissions that come from logging and destroying forests, but also sucking up CO2, converting it into woody matter. They discuss that winning legislation or winning an election is just part of the battle, because we have to keep policymakers’ feet to the fire. Thus, as to legislation we must make sure that strong regulations are developed and resolutely enforced, and that takes a vigilant, informed, active movement.
