Brian Lindstrom is a Portland filmmaker who has two new films showing soon at Cinema 21: "Old Town Diary" and "To Pay my Way with Stories." We talked about the process of making his documentaries, which include workshops at Writing Around Portland.
Our guest is Brian Lindstrom, the filmmaker. He has a new film coming out...He says:
"Old Town Diary", a film project I've been doing with folks coping with mental illness and addiction, plays at Cinema 21 on Feb. 28th at 6 pm (along with my documentary "To Pay My Way With Stories"). We used writing exercises and class discussion to write a film script. Art Alexakis of Everclear stars, along with Paul Kochs, who was featured in my documentary "Finding Normal." I will bring one or two of the participants to KBOO.
