On Dust Bowls of Empire: Imperialism, Environmental Politics, and the Injustice of “Green” Capitalism
Bill Resnick talks with Hannah Holleman about capitalist agriculture and the destruction of land with chemical treatments to boost production. They also discuss mainstream alternatives and the sustainble left program for growing food. Hannah Holleman is an activist teaching at Amherst College in sociology and environmental studies. She is on the editorial committee of the journal Monthly Review. Her book, Dust Bowls of Empire: Imperialism, Environmental Politics, and the Injustice of “Green” Capitalism is coming in November 2018.
