Jessica Mehta is a poet and novelist.  Born and raised in Oregon, she’s a member of the Cherokee Nation.  Jessica has written ten books, and has received a Barbara Deming Memorial Fund Award grant in Poetry and a Potlatch Award grant for Native Artists, as well as various poet-in-residency awards, including the Hosking Houses Trust with an appointment at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, and Paris Lit Up - in France. Jessica is Associate Poetry Editor for Bending Genres Magazine and founder of the Get it Ohm! karma yoga movement.  Visit her author website online for more information.
