We'll be talking in-studio with Emory Colvin about trans issues in Corvallis/Oregon State and the surrounding area. Emory is a PhD student in nuclear engineering at Oregon State University and secretary-treasurer of the Coalition of Graduate Employees (AFT Local 6069). A native of Atlanta, they followed their best friend to Oregon for school, health insurance, and LGBT legal protections.

After, we schmooze with local filmmaker Sean Brown. his new film 'Strictly Professional' debuts at the Clinton Street Theatre on February 18th. Strictly Professional is award winning Portland filmmaker Sean Brown's 4th feature film covering topics ranging from gentrification to domestic violence in same sex marriage. In Strictly Professional Sean explores the absurdity of white privilege amongst a group of wealthy Portlanders, in an hilarious and challenging poke at race, politics, and love featuring local drag clown Carla Rossi and music by Gemma Bulos with score by Jim Meyer.

Music on today's program:

A remix of Fleetwood Mac's Tusk, notable for the 'missing' horn intro; and 'Anna Blue' by Blue Angel, with Cyndi Lauper on lead vocals.

You're welcome to call in! The studio phone # is 503-231-8187.
