Joe Rastatter joins co-hosts Amanda Hill and Jamie Partridge
Joe Rastatter, member of UNITE HERE local 8 and long time local labor activist, is chair of the Portland Jobs with Justice Faith-Labor committee. Drawing on pro-worker traditions in Christian, Muslim, Jewish and other faiths, Rastatter discusses past and present efforts by local clergy and lay activists to support Portland's workers' struggles. Co-hosts Amanda Hill and Jamie Partridge, leaders of the Portland chapter of Jobs with Justice, outline the basic vision and strategies of this coalition of over a hundred labor, community, student, and faith-based organizations for direct action in defense of workers' rights.
