It's time to prune kiwis and grapes and to start the earliest vegetable seeds; plus what's the difference between pollinization and fertilization?
Host Glen Andresen and guest Jim Gilbert discuss pruning grapes and kiwis. This month's word on the Dirtbag Dictionary (where we define a common or uncommon gardening term) is the difference between pollinization and fertilization (and we return to last month's "chilling requirement" or "chill hours"). Plus, it's time to start the earliest of vegetable seeds--inside, and to plant bareroot trees and shrubs.
