SEEDLINGS is a speculative/time travel novel about Seth, a beekeeper living on the northern coast of Oregon, and Melody a collector and preserver of heirloom seeds. Through Melody, Seth learns how natural foods have gradually been altered and the damaging effects on human lives. Through Seth, Melody learns that the extinction of bees, is a threat to our food sources and our lives.
Time travelers appear to Melody and Seth toshow them that the planet is being poisoned and the role they can play in earth's salvation. We soon learn that the travelers have a vested interest in the couple'a success: One of the travelers has chosen Melody and Seth to be her ancestors, however, the planet is on a course to lose all life forms in the year 2047, the year of the traveler’s predicted birth.
During Melody and Seth’s quest, they come to accept that the ordinary is strange and the strange is ordinary, and that all life that is, was and will be is in the now.
