"Elaine"--not her real name--is a food service worker in Portland, OR, who hails from the East Bay Area. She speaks about her experience taking a former employer to task for wage theft and an abusive work environment. She goes into the details of writing and delivering a demand letter, approaching an employer about wage discrepancies, finding legal advice, determining what you are owed, and what to expect when all is said and done. Below you can find links to some of the agencies and groups mentioned in our interview, as well as a few others:

Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries / Wage and Hour Division

California Labor & Workforce Development Agency
