Transpositive PDX explores the vibrant activism in Portland reflecting the Transgender communities

Please join us this week on Transpositive PDX for our first show ever!  We will meet members of the newly forming audio collective Maria, Kyle, Emma, Nicolette and Rowan who will introduce themselves and talk about what they hope to do with the newly forming show.

Transpositive PDX is a new program exploring the vibrant activism going on in Portland reflecting the Transgender, Two Spirit, Non Binary and Gender Non-Conforming Community.  Through the strength of our vibrant and diverse Trans and Gender Queer communities.

Part two will feature Yosha and Miranda from the organization Raising Awareness About Gender and Sexuality.  RAGS is an organization dedicated to educating teens, teachers, kids, parents, grandparents and everyone in between about gender and sexuality.  They provide resources for trans, lesbian, gay, bi and ace (etc.) teens.  Founded by Dwynn Baird, Miranda Long and Yosha Kness. For more information visit ragsportland.tumblr.com or dwynbaird@gmail.com

The last part of the show will feature collective member Rowan discussing the WPATH Standards of Care for the Trans Community.  Rowan Everard is an activist, acupuncturist and semi-professional nerd.  He currently works at the Equi Institute, a queer and trans clinic housed within the Q Center.  He specializes in treating pain, neurological, psychological and urogenital difficulties. You can find him at facebook.com/rowaneverardlac

Transpositive PDX hopes to connect listeners with the ongoing activist, arts, culture, and dialogue happening in Portland and beyond.  Transpositive PDX is especially concerned about the underrepresented voices of Trans People of Color, Homeless Youth, and the most vulnerable in our communities.

 Make your voice heard!

Transpositive PDX is open to new and experienced programmers, guests and events you want our community to know about. For more information contact Emma at transpositivepdx@gmail.com
