Michele Friedner, Medical Anthropologist and author of Valuing Deaf Worlds in Urban India. She'll talk about the various kinds of value Bangalore has for its Deaf Community.

Sonia Faleiro, journalist and author of 13 Men, which investigates the brutal gang rape of a tribal woman in West Bengal, and the complex politics surrounding the story.

Madan Vasishta, Deaf Education scholar and author of two memoirs, Deaf in Delhi and Deaf in DC. He recounts his first impressions of the US upon arriving here in 1967. This is from the collection of Deaf South Asian American Stories
