Joe, longtime listener, occasional caller. It’s taken over a week to be ‘OK’d and logged in’ to finally thank you for tolerating the abuse you took on Election Day with regard to the 911 attack.
Honestly, I was sickened by the level of discord and disconnect with reality displayed by ‘my fellow’ listeners… Wow. A native Portlander, and longtime supporter of KBOO, it actually hurt to feel how far those I’ve assumed were ‘closest to me’ in thinking are from reality regarding this event. Actually, that low-level of depression worked well to prepare me for the national returns that night.
Thank you, both, for remaining as positive and upbeat as you are… I couldn’t do it, and as you say, Joe, ‘that’s why they pay you the big bucks (not)!’ As for the groping attempts to make more of that disastrous day than it was … I’m sorry, and only hope my diversions from the ugliness of reality are more productive ~
