Phyllis Bennis and Josh Ruebner on the Mid-East Peace Talks

Today's One Land Many Voices features a panel discussion recorded at the recent Sabeel conference held in April. The theme of the conference was "Seeds of Justice and Hope for Palestinians and Israelis: What is Required of Us?":

We'll hear excerpts from the panel on the current status of peace talks with speakers Phyllis Bennis and Josh Ruebner and Moderator: Steve Niva. They
discuss the status and the consequences of their failure. Are the talks an “Einstein Round” as Bennis has described them, in homage to Einstein’s definition of “crazy” as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?

Phyllis Bennis directs the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies. She is also a fellow of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam. She has been a writer, analyst, and activist on Middle East and UN issues for many yearsis  She is the author of "Understanding the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict: A Primer."

Josh Ruebner is National Advocacy Director of the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation. He is the author of "Shattered Hopes: The Failure of Obama's Middle East."
