Racial Health Disparities and the Affordable Care Act

The Labor Radio guest on the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment  is Meies-Amour Matz.  She is a Grant and Research Coordinator with more than 20 years working to  reduce health and social disparities, as they relate to minority and under-served populations.   Some of her community, educational and professional engagements include:  Chair of the NAACP Health Committee – Portland Chapter (volunteer),  Oregon Regional Manager for the Lupus Foundation of America-PNW Chapter, Research and Grant Coordinator for DHS/OHA, Public Health graduate student at OHSU.
Her current passion includes working to educate Oregon citizens about the  benefits and impact of the Affordable Care Act.
