Filmmaker Jordan Karr-Morse talks with Frann Michel about his feature documentary-in-progress, The Israeli, about the remarkable ideological journey of prominent Israeli-American activist and author Miko Peled, from Zionist to Palestinian Rights Activist.
There will be a sneak peek at the film Monday, July 7, from 7pm-9pm at the Clinton Street Theater. The evening also includes a screening of the short film The Orphan, which follows 90-year-old Holocaust survivor Jacques Bude as he recounts his time in post-war Israel, and why his experience with genocide compelled him to the Palestinian cause. That film was directed by Karr-Morse and produced by Peled.
The screenings will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Jordan Karr-Morse and a panel discussion featuring local activists.
Tickets are $10 and sales will benefit the completion of The Israeli.
