Betsy Fogelman Tighe has published widely in literary magazines. Honors include Pushcart nominations, and a win to appear in the 2025 anthology, invitations to read in LA, and as a semi-finalist for the 2020 Loraine Williams Poetry Prize.
Tighe has won a third place and first place prize from the Oregon Poetry Association. Her full-length manuscript has been a semi-finalist for the Snake Nation Press Violet Reed Haas Poetry Prize and the Hidden Rivers Willow Run Book Award.
She retired in 2022 from Roosevelt HS where she was the teacher-librarian. She has two grown offspring in town she dotes on and she messes in her garden.
