Portland, Oregon's independent music scene generates around $3 billion per year and is the last major U.S. city without a LiveNation venue.
"It is more than just the music scene. It is how we want Portland to be built."
--Jesse Valencia
Jesse Valencia is a musician and the founder of the band Gorky, member and volunteer with MusicPortland.org, and originally from Arizona where he spent time lobbying with a film and media coalition and volunteered with Music Policy Council.
