This week on the SongCircle, I wiill be doing two things; the first is playing two tracks from the Mother Maybelle Sessions, a new Portland Group that did a benefit CD for Rose Haven, a Day Shelter in NW Portland for Women.

 

The second is a celebration of Crnival Season with mostly Black artists from New Orleans playing classic R&B and Mardi Gras Related Tunes. Classic cuts from Legends Like Allen Toussaint, Huey Piano Smith, Fats Domino, The Neville Brothers, and more.
