A Different Nature presents three artists who swerve back and forth between jazz, classical performance and hog-wild improv and lo, it was good and the people rejoiced. Music created and performed by Mary Halvorson on guitar (solos, trios, combos, weird Braxton covers), Sylvie Courvoisier on piano (jazzy stuff, Stravinsky duets, wow), and Satoko Fujii on piano (I can't even describe what this woman does to a piano aside from tossing it out of an airplane and listening to it as it crashes to the ground). So, uh, there you have it. Pretty good stuff. Thank you for tuning in.
