Please join us for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, August 1st as we discuss the most recent US Supreme Court Case, 303 Creative LLC vs Elenis and discuss how it will impact the Transgender Community. The case, issued on June 30th, was based on a fake website form, somehow magically made it all the way to the Supreme Court where the court decided that this case overturns the Masterpiece Cake ruling and gives private individuals free and clear permission to discriminate against gays, lesbians and transgender people in all sort of manners of business based on their religious objections. It could even give individuals permission to discriminate against people of color on the basis of religion.
The case was based on a fake claim that a man named Steward filled out a web page where he indicated he was gay and on that basis, the web page designer denied service based on religious protections. The problem is that the person who the plaintiff's claim filled out the page says he never filled anything out and he also says he is not gay. That didn't seem to be a problem for the Supreme Court however which couldn't wait to issue a ruling on this "religious protections" case.
