Julia Lazareck, who is a national advocate for families of adults in custody raising awareness about the reality that when a loved one is sentenced to prison, their loved one's on the outside serve the sentence in a way with them, providing emotional and financial support, experiencing many of the same emotional adjustments to their inter-related lives that adults in custody face when looking at prison time. This week Julia interviews Emma Lugo of Prison Pipeline about her work as a member of the collective.
Prison Pipeline is a radio program dedicated to educating the public about the Oregon criminal justice system. Our goal is to present a unique understanding of the criminal justice system, address the root causes of crime, and challenge the status quo. We seek to promote awareness and activism in order to foster a safe, healthy, and just society.
