This time on The Childrens Hour we learn about autism from a father and son who literally wrote the book about it for kids. Justin and David Flood wrote "A Kids Book About Autism" to help kids understand what autism is, how it impacts people, and how kids without autism can befriend kids with autism.

We also hear from renowned scientist with autism, Temple Grandin who has a list of things she wish she knew when she was younger.

Then Maya Falcon from our Kids Crew interviews Dr. Walter Dehority, Associate Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of New Mexico, to learn about the Covid vaccine for kids.

The Children's Hour is a weekly, educational and entertaining public radio program for kids and families. Using excellent music, expert guests, talented kids and a format that is a proven success in growing and keeping listeners of all ages engaged.

The Children's Hour includes kids in all aspects of the production. We're dedicated to filling educational gaps, by focusing on civics, STEM, culture, and performance, using interviews with scientists, astronauts, civil servants, cultural educators, performers and others, and weaving shows together with a wide variety of musical genres.
