For a long time I have been part of the KBOO community as a segment producer and collaborator. Since April 2017 I have had my own allocated space with the show Squirrels Know, broadcast every fourth Friday of the month, 8-10 PM PST (Los Angeles, Portland) / 11PM-1AM EST (New York, Miami).
My focus has shifted on various occassions. In the beginning of my radio journey, I strived to bring awareness and do indepth exploration of ancient Native American traditions, knowledge and wisdom through the segment Roar of the Earth on Rose City Native Radio. After that, and following a period of radio silence, my target pivoted to music entirely, chiefly band music of the youthful variety, such as pop punk, melodic hardcore and indie rock, as well as classic rock and grunge. At the time I was very busy exploring my own musicianship as a singer and songwriter with several school rock bands. Next, I went through a period of re-centering and finding my own voice.
During this year of 2020, my shift has changed entirely to global issues given the new stage we have entered in the development of our planet. There are serious and complex global issues we are going to have the opportunity to tackle head-on in unprecedented ways. What I present on this page is a bit of a time capsule. I have done many interviews as part of my KBOO experience, and these are the ones that stand out to me and I feel I can share with you. Blessings !
