Qualifications
- Demonstrate an ability to organize and lead an exhibit at a museum, with a time sensitive installation.
- Have experience with project management and share some examples of success.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person communication.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships.
- Demonstrate ability to deliver timely, meaningful process reports.
- Reliable and effective time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
- Ability to work well under pressure and without direct supervision.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people in a multicultural, cooperative, progressive organization.
- Ability to work flexible hours as necessary, and be available in case of emergency.
- Ability to think outside the box and be creative.
- Excellent problem solving skills including in a group setting.
- Demonstrated ability to complete project within budget.
Duties to cover:
- Project manage KBOO’ 50th anniversary celebrations.
- Support the production of KBOO’s exhibit at Oregon Historical Society.
- Oversee volunteers who are involved with the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
- Collaborate with KBOO staff and contractors involved with the 50th celebrations.
- Coordinate with volunteer coordinator for volunteer needs for 50th celebrations.
- Support with event planning around the exhibit.
- Coordinate with oral historians to promote audio content related to 50th anniversary.
- Coordinating with development and event for major donor events.
- Supervising and coordinating production of catalogue, making sure they are divided up correctly, and distributed accordingly.
- Set up and manage cafe press site.
- Support content inclusion of the website.
- Support for 50th anniversary fundraising as necessary.
- Meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with 50th anniversary steering committee.
Working Conditions
KBOO is a community radio station with over 500 volunteers, and 24 hours a day of broadcasting. The atmosphere is hectic and stimulating. The ability to work in this kind of environment is essential.
