Have you beein wanting to get more involved with KBOO? This is your time!
The membership drive is vitally important to KBOO's independence and financial health, as 80% of our annual operating budget comes from our listeners. It's also a great way to introduce yourself to the community, meet other volunteers, and check out life at your community radio station. The drive is a dynamic time, and you'll get a good feel for KBOO at its busiest.
Following the drive, we'll hold a volunteer orientation that is reserved for volunteers who start out during the drive, to make sure everyone gets the information you'll need to fully participate and focus on what you'd like to do longer term with us. That orientation is scheduled for Tuesday evening, April 16th, 6 - 8 pm. It will be great to have your help, during the drive and after!
Please let me know if you want to jump into the membership drive-- it really is a great way to get involved. At this time, we need volunteers to answer the phones, and to help in the membership office. Shifts are generally available between 6 am and 10 pm, and vary in length from 1 1/2 hours - 4 hours.
The shift times are:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday:
6 - 7:30 am
7:30 - 9 am
9 - noon
noon - 3
3 - 6 pm
6 - 8 pm
8 - 10 pm
On Tuesdays:
6 - 7:30 am
7:30 - 9 am

noon - 2 pm (these two shifts are in Spanish)2 - 4 pm
