The development of "An Intergenerational Labor Movement" at an upcoming Oregon AFL-CIO & LERC Summer School

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell, Ms. Deborah Hall for the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment of Labor Radio with our guest, Sherman Henry, a Faculty Coordinator of the University of Oregon.  Our topic is the upcoming Oregon AFL-CIO & LERC Summer School, scheduled for August 2-4, 2019 at the University of Oregon Campus in Eugene, Oregon.  The title of the weekend long program is “Awakening & Unifying an Intergenerational Labor Movement.”  The specific goals are to examine the impact of right to work on Oregon unions, the activation of   millennial workers and the political influence teachers have made regarding the funding of public schools.   The choices of 4 core course topics and 9 workshops will unify millennial and old school labor activist to cultivate an intergenerational labor movement.
